Enthused by the response to the Tamarind Valley Collective, we started the Rose Valley Farming Collective in 2019. As we were talking to interested people and figuring out the intricacies of the identified land parcel, the Covid scenario put paid to all progress.

Once the lock down was lifted in the second half of 2020, we picked up from where we had left off. As we witness the end of the winter season, we are happy to announce that we have reached some major milestones. About 25+ members are now part of this Collective and individual land registrations are in progress.

The construction of the first house is underway. We are working on about 20 acres where the initial planting is being planned. A kitchen, a small house, a thatched covered area for community gatherings will be ready in the next few weeks. Permaculture study and zoning will be taken up in the April/May time frame.

As we concentrate our efforts on these tasks, we are pausing sales. The last couple units are available. We will open sales for the last 10–12 units in the June-July time frame, with increased pricing.

As always, we are excited as a new community comes together and the possibilities are heartening.
